How to become a driver

  • Drivers licence

    To become a licenced private hire taxi driver, you must hold a valid driver's licence for at least one year. 

  • Photo ID

    As part of the application process with Warrington Borough Council, you'll need to provide a recent photograph of yourself (taken no more than three months ago).

  • Utility bill(s)

    You'll need to provide a recent utility bill (no more than three months old) as part of your application process. This document is necessary to complete the licencing process and ensure that our drivers are fully authorised and compliant with all regulations.

  • Personal or rental vehicle

    Once you've passed all of the necessary tests and obtained your private hire badge, you'll have the flexibility to either use your own vehicle as a taxi or rent a vehicle from one of our trusted partners. This allows you to choose the option that works best for you and start earning money as a licenced driver with Abba Cars.
